Pastor Witherspoon demonstrates his anointing, daily, witnessing to the total man through real life experiences. Pastor Witherspoon is a native of Gary, IN. He is husband to his wife, Nicole, and father to his three beautiful children: Derryll, Deonne, and Erynne. He accepted the call to preach the Gospel in June 2000 and was licensed in the same year by Rev. Dr. Isaac Culver, Jr., Pastor of the Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church of Gary, IN and President of the Original Missionary Baptist State Convention of Indiana. He was ordained on June 1, 2003 and accepted the call to Pastor New Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church of Gary, IN. He was blessed to Pastor New Mt. Sinai until being called by the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church of South Bend, IN. Pastor Witherspoon has a dynamic itinerate preaching ministry that extends across the country. He has been described as one of the most biblically sound preachers in his area and is well known for his powerful, practical, and relevant proclamation of God’s Word. He is known among his colleagues as a friend and is motivated by his love for people, his love for preaching, and his love for ministry. He believes that only the proclamation of God’s Word can save souls and change the community. Pastor Witherspoon began his collegiate career at the Chicago Baptist Theological Institute of Chicago, IL, in the fall of 2001. Because of his increased pastoral responsibilities, he was only able to complete 2 years. In an effort to study and show himself approved, he re-enrolled in the fall of 2009. Upon completion of his Bachelor’s Degree, he intends to pursue a Masters of Theology. Pastor Witherspoon is an active member of several Local, District, State, and National organizations. He also serves as a mentor for the students of Washington High School, South Bend. Of all the characteristics demonstrated by Pastor Witherspoon, none is more outstanding than his ability to explain the truths of God’s Word and how it should be applied to our daily lives. Pastor Witherspoon’s testimony is that “God Has Done Great Things for Me!” His mission is to fulfill the Great Commission to teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
